For Three years Trevor Burgess pounded the pavement, traveling the
quad-state area from Nebraska to Texas, promoting his 2005 CD "Truckers
Dream," on the SlackJaw Records label. Trevor played an average of four
nights per week, both as a headline artist and as an opening act for
larger regional Texas acts such as Jason Boland, Mike McClure, Wade
Bowen and Stoney LaRue.
Trevor's musical taste has since evolved from Texas Country to a
wide-array of modern acoustic-soulful songs. There are now even some
“top-40” tunes on Trevor’s set list…something he vowed would never
happen. Whether it’s an old Willie Nelson song, or a brand new Weezer
tune, Trevor always puts his own unique spin on it.
After nearly four years as a full-time musician, Trevor got tired of
the rigors of the road and quit the business to pursue a radio career
in Dallas. Now living in the Kansas City area, Trevor is looking
forward to playing a few shows per month, while playing music on his
terms, rather than by the terms of the "business."
